Integration of the College of Management's Three International Bachelor's Programs: Plan and Student Rights
ACIM, MSF and DMSI into the International Bachelor Program in Business Management and Digital Innovation (BMDI)

This announcement summarizes the briefings on the proposed integration of the College of Management's three international bachelor's programs, for the reference of current students and other stakeholders.
The proposal aims to consolidate teaching, faculty and administrative resources. Existing students will retain their original program enrollment status and continue their studies under the curriculum and graduation requirements applicable to their year of admission. Their graduation requirements will remain unchanged.

1. Purpose and Proposed Timeline

The College of Management proposes to integrate the resources of Management Science and Finance (MSF), Accounting and Information Management (ACIM), and Digital Marketing and Service Innovation (DMSI), and to establish the International Bachelor Program in Business Management and Digital Innovation (BMDI), which will offer a shared business foundation with different areas of specialization.
The new program is planned to begin admitting students as early as Academic Year 2028–2029 (ROC Year 117), beginning September 2028. New admissions to the three original programs will be discontinued at the same time. The establishment of BMDI and all admission changes are subject to university review and Ministry of Education approval. The approved arrangements will be announced separately.
Changes to new admissions will be managed separately from arrangements for existing students. After new admissions are discontinued, the original programs will continue to provide the courses, advising and administrative support their existing students need to complete their studies.

2. Proposed Integration Arrangements

(1) Administrative and Student Support
Administrative resources will be integrated, and the College of Management International Affairs Center will provide administrative support and student services, including course advising and related matters.
(2) Program Management and Faculty
A dedicated Program Director is planned to oversee the new program's academic and administrative operations. The three original programs currently have a combined total of five full-time faculty members. BMDI is expected to have seven, subject to approval and appointment outcomes.
(3) Curriculum and Student Interaction
A Curriculum Committee is planned to coordinate the new program's core and specialized courses and to review course arrangements based on students' learning needs. Shared courses and activities will create opportunities for interaction among students from different fields. The program will also support the development of student associations.
These arrangements for the new program do not require existing students to transfer to BMDI or adopt its curriculum.

3. Protection of Existing Students' Rights

(1) Enrollment Status and Graduation Requirements
Existing MSF, ACIM and DMSI students will remain enrolled in their original programs and will not be transferred to BMDI as a result of the integration. They will follow the curriculum and graduation requirements applicable to their year of admission and receive their degrees from their original programs.
(2) Courses and Study Arrangements
Courses needed by existing students will continue to be provided according to their original curriculum plans. Course offerings will be coordinated during the transition between the original and new curricula to ensure that students can complete their studies.
(3) Academic Advising and Administrative Services
Students' original advisors and the College of Management International Affairs Center will continue to provide academic advising, administrative assistance and related support. Support services for existing students will not be reduced as a result of the integration.
(4) Phased Transition
If BMDI begins admissions in Academic Year 2028–2029, newly admitted students will follow the BMDI curriculum. Students in the original programs will continue under the requirements applicable to their respective admission years.
Discontinuing new admissions will not immediately end the original programs' services. Support will continue until all existing students have completed their studies or left their programs.

4. Briefings and Review Procedures

The official title of the briefings was "Briefing on the Discontinuation of New Admissions and Integration of the Three International Bachelor's Programs, College of Management, National Dong Hwa University." The briefings were held as follows:
(1) MSF: September 22, 2026, 12:15–13:30, Room C215, College of Management

(3) DMSI: September 17, 2026, 17:10–19:00, Room C109, College of Management
The proposal will proceed through department or program affairs meetings, the College Affairs Meeting, the University Development Committee and the University Affairs Meeting before submission to the Ministry of Education. Approval outcomes and implementation arrangements will be announced separately.
